Maintenance Advice
Window Tint Care Tips From the Pros
Give It Time to Cure
Right after your tint is installed, it needs a little time to fully set. You might notice a light haze or small water pockets at first, and that’s normal. Let it do its thing, and it’ll clear up as the film cures.
Don’t Roll the Windows Down Yet
This is the big one. Avoid rolling your windows down for a few days, so the edges don’t get disturbed while everything’s bonding. If you’re not sure how long to wait for your specific vehicle, just ask and we’ll tell you.
Be Gentle When You Clean
Hold off on cleaning the inside of the glass for at least a week, then keep it simple. Use a soft microfiber towel and a tint-safe cleaner that doesn’t contain ammonia. If you’ve ever seen tint turn purple or start peeling at the edges, harsh cleaners are usually part of that story.
Don’t Pick at the Edges
If you see an edge or a tiny bubble early on, don’t mess with it. Most of what you’re noticing is part of the curing process and it’ll settle out. If something still looks off after it’s had time to cure, hit us up and we’ll take a look.
Keep Sharp Stuff Off the Film
Watch seat belts, rings, dog nails, and anything that can scrape the inside of the glass. Tint is tough, but it’s not invincible, and one bad scrape can leave a mark you’ll see every day. A little awareness goes a long way.

Window Tinting FAQs
Browse Our Most-Asked Window Tinting Questions
1) What are the main benefits of window tinting?
Window tinting makes your car more comfortable and easier to live with. It helps cut down heat and glare, blocks UV, and adds privacy, so your cabin feels cooler and you’re not squinting every time the sun hits. Plus, it gives your vehicle a cleaner, more finished look.
2) What’s the difference between carbon, ceramic, and ceramic IR tint?
Carbon tint is a great value option that improves privacy and glare reduction while holding its color better than basic dyed film. Ceramic tint is a step up with stronger heat and UV performance, and it stays clear so your visibility feels crisp. Ceramic IR is the top tier option if you want maximum heat rejection, especially for long commutes or hot summers.
3) How dark should I go on my tint?
That depends on the look you want, how you drive, and how much privacy you’re after. Some people want a subtle upgrade that still feels bright at night, while others want more coverage for the sides and rear. If you tell us what you’re driving and what matters most to you, we’ll recommend a shade that fits your goals.
4) How long does it take to tint my windows?
Most vehicles can be tinted the same day, but the exact time depends on the number of windows and the film you choose. We’ll give you a clear timeframe when you book, and we won’t rush the install just to get cars in and out. Clean work takes a little time, and it’s worth it.
5) What should I do after my windows are tinted?
After your tint is installed, give it time to cure before you roll the windows down or clean the glass. You might see a little haziness or small water pockets at first, and that’s normal during the curing process. We’ll send you home with simple aftercare instructions so your tint sets up properly and looks great long term.
